Hong Kong's Largest-Ever Card Event, the Grade10 Festival, Opens Today, Featuring 120+ Global Exhibitors and Expecting 23,000 Fans

22 November 2025, Hong Kong, China - Hong Kong's largest trading card event, "Grade10 Festival," opened today at the Grand Ballroom of Hopewell Hotel in Wan Chai. The two-day exhibition is anticipated to draw over 23,000 attendees. Making its global debut is the "Van Gogh-Pikachu" card wall, featuring over 400 "Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat" cards graded PSA 10, valued close to HK$5 million. This edition brings together over 120 exhibitors. International collector Nick Uliano travelled from the United States to participate. The event features the world's first "Threads Wall" with Meta.

The opening ceremony was graced by The Honourable Bernard Charnwut Chan (Chairman, Our Hong Kong Foundation); Ray Chan (CEO, MemeStrategy 2440.HK); Carvin Chan (Managing Director, Grade10); and Will Li (HKTDC). Supporting partners included Alex Fong, Wesley Ng (Co-Founder CASETiFY), Kun Gao (Co-Founder Crunchyroll), Hanru Tang (Founder PokeColor), Jerry Lam, Ander Tsui.

The "Van Gogh-Pikachu" card was released as a limited-edition promotional card when Pokémon partnered with the Van Gogh Museum in the Netherlands in 2023, inspired by Van Gogh's "Self-Portrait with Grey Felt Hat."

Exhibitors: ~60% anime IP-themed (Pokémon, Dragon Ball, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!); rest sports cards (NBA, MLB, American football, soccer). Six themed zones: grading, gaming, networking, trading, "Threads Wall," and "Ten Cards, Ten Stories." Featured collectors: Stephen Fung, Alex Fong, Wesley Ng, Hin Hin Chan, Ray Chan.

~20% of exhibitors from worldwide: Chinese Mainland, US, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan. Notable: SNKRDUNK (Japan), PokeColor (Mainland China), JayBeeCollectibles (US), The Private Collective (Singapore). James Bui of JayBeeCollectibles praised Hong Kong's potential as Asia's trading card hub.

Per HKTDC research: global trading card market US$15.8B (2024) → US$23.5B (2030) at 6.5% CAGR. Global collectibles market anticipated to reach US$489.48B by 2033, with "Kidults" accounting for one-third of global toy sales.
